The 2008 International Eucharistic Congress, “The Eucharist, Gift of God for the Life of the World.”, has come to a close. We now begin preparations for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in 2012 in Dublin, Ireland.

We praise God for allowing us as a Church to worship Him for a whole week! Highlights of the IEC can be viewed at the ECDQ.tv, the media portal of the Catholic Church in Quebec. There you can watch videos of the various events that took place in the Eucharistic City.

Praise be to God for His grace and providence this past weekend. With over 400 people in attendance, this year's Pro Life conference was truly a blessed event. Our utmost thanks to Dr. Janet Smith and Cale Clarke for sharing with us their enthusiasm for life and passion for truth. Let's forge ahead, to love LIFE, live it to the fullest, and promote the sanctity of LIFE to all we meet!

WHO IS BRO.JOE TALE? This was the comment of some members when Joe Tale was suddenly thrust into center position in the Couples for Christ community. After the resignation of Frank Padilla in February 2007, Joe was chosen by the remaining Council members as CFC Director (Chairman and President), and by the GK Board as Chairman of Gawad Kalinga. After the June 2007 election of the new International Council, Joe was again chosen to the same positions. Because Joe has always preferred to serve quietly and to maintain a low profile, it came as surprise to many to learn that Joe and wife Babylou have been members of CFC since 1986, or 21 years ago, and that he has been a member of the International Council since he was first elected in 1995. MER1 and SWR1 in Bermuda

A Marriage Enrichment Retreat 1 (MER 1) and Singles Weekend Retreat 1 (SWR 1) were held simultaneously in Bermuda last November 17 & 18, 2007. The retreats were conducted by a team from Toronto led by Bro. Jun & Malou Reyes, Ouel & Arlyn Gardon and Anita Espino (SFC). Witnessing to His Healing Power

At the CFC Conference in Montreal 4 years ago, several of you heard my sharing. “You raise me up so I can stand on a mountain, you raise me up so I can walk on stormy seas, I am strong when I am on your shoulder, you raise me up to more than I can be.” These words from a popular song helped me bring across my message of trust in the Lord.
