Dear
brethren,
Most
of our members were asking what we are doing or going to do to help
the Tsunami victims.
We
certainly are all deeply touched by the Tsunami disaster. The first
thing we want to remember is that these kinds of tragedies are times
for each of us to dig deep into our hearts and decide what can be done
as individuals. We are not doing this under CFC's name for it is not a
time to seek any credit for having members who are caring enough to
take personal action.
We
have personally encouraged our members to contribute in whatever way
they can as a concerned world citizen to the leading charities who are
in the forefront of this relief operation. Most of us have given to
our parish church making sure that everything we have given will go to
the victims. Some gave to the other charities who were already in
place, and those who were able to up to January 11 saw their
contributions doubled. We shall no longer detail what everyone did,
for it is so many heart-warming stories.
We
thank the Lord for having generous members who did not think twice in
giving to a more needy brother, for all of you, like most donors are
unsung heroes who seek no rewards in your charitable and unselfish
acts. We are proud to be your brothers and sisters in Christ !
Thanks
and God bless,
Beppo
